Inversion and eversion

Inversion and eversion is a great exercise to practice to keep your ankles mobile so you can walk and balance on all terrains. This is something that gets lost with shoes and boots that restrict movement of the ankles.

This exercise focusses on the sole of the foot – inversion is when the soles turn in and face each other and eversion is when they turn out away from each other. Again work from where you are small steps. You may not get as much movement as you’d like just be gentle on yourself.

Work on keeping the toes relaxed as you do the exercise and remember to breathe and keep your face relaxed.
