The Invitation
Somewhere beneath the noise of daily life, beneath the thinking and the doing and the holding it all together, there is a rhythm that is yours. Drum Cradle is an invitation to find it again.
A deeply restorative 1:1 sound healing session, where the ancient pulse of the drum does what words and willpower cannot — it brings you home to yourself.
What It Is
You lie fully clothed on a massage bed. There is no touch, no pressure, no performance. Just you, the drum, and an hour of being genuinely held by sound.
I begin with gentle breathwork and a short meditation to help you arrive — to soften the grip of the day and settle into your body. Then I begin to play.
Working intuitively, I read the room, the rhythm, and you — choosing beats and patterns that feel right for this moment, this person, this hour. The drum moves over and around you; sometimes close, sometimes at a distance. The rhythms shift and evolve.
And then, silence.
That silence after the drum is its own kind of medicine.
Why the Drum Works
This isn’t simply relaxing music. The rhythmic pulse of a live drum has been shown to guide the brain into a deep meditative state — quickly, and without effort on your part. From here, the body is able to shift into the parasympathetic state: the place where healing happens.
In this state, the nervous system settles. Tension held in muscles and tissue begins to release. The mind grows quiet — not forced into quiet, but drawn there by rhythm. And in that quietness, things become clearer. Answers to problems surface. Emotions that have been waiting find a way through.
Rhythm has always been how human beings have found their way back to themselves. It is one of our oldest medicines.
What You May Experience
Profound Rest — Many people describe leaving feeling as relaxed as they would after a full body massage, despite there being no physical touch whatsoever.
Deep, Restorative Sleep — The effects often carry through into the night. Clients regularly report the best sleep they’ve had in months after a session.
A Quieter Mind — The drum does the work of quietening mental noise in a way that willpower alone rarely can. Many people find improved focus and mental clarity in the days that follow.
Emotional Release & Processing — Drum Cradle creates a safe, held space for grief, sadness, or difficult feelings to move through. Nothing is forced. The drum simply makes room.
Physical Release — Chronic tension, held pain, and bodily tightness often soften within a session as the nervous system lets down its guard.
Spiritual Reconnection — Rhythm is primal. For many people, this experience brings a felt sense of coming home — to the body, to the self, to something larger.
What to Expect — Your 60 Minutes
Please wear comfortable, loose clothing. You will remain fully clothed throughout and won’t be touched at any point. Simply arrive, and let the rest unfold.
I · Breathwork & Arrival — We begin gently. A short guided breath practice and meditation to help you leave the outside world outside, and settle into your body.
II · The Drum — I play over and around you, following intuition and reading what you need in the moment. Different rhythms for different depths. You don’t need to do anything — just receive.
III · Silence — The drum stills. You rest in the quiet that follows. This is part of the session, not the end of it.
IV · Return — We close slowly and gently. You are given time to come back to the room at your own pace before we finish.
