Ease Period Cramps

Gentle movement that can help you feel better when period pain makes everything feel like too much.

A soothing, follow-along movement routine for the days when you’re cramping, tense, tired and don’t want to do a workout.

gentle movement for tough days

You don’t need to push through your period. You can move gently instead.

This 24-minute routine takes you through slow, supported movements and stretches for the back, pelvis, hips and legs.

It’s designed for those days when you want to move, but your body is asking for something softer.

Why people come back to it

People who have tried other yoga and period-cramp videos describe this routine as different because it gives them a way to work with their body rather than push against it.

One viewer said they were completely pain-free while doing the exercises during a particularly difficult postpartum period. Another said this was the best period-cramp routine they’d tried and that it finally worked for them.

What you’ll need

  • Half foam roller

  • Yoga block

  • Yoga strap or belt

You can substitute a firmly rolled towel for the half roller and a thick book for the yoga block. A chair can be used for additional support during standing exercises.

This is not a workout

There is no need to sweat, push through pain or prove anything.

The goal is simply to give your body some gentle movement, breathing and space to release tension.

Move less when you need less. Stay longer when something feels good. Skip anything that doesn’t.

Nurturing for you when it feels too much

For the days when your period hurts and exercise feels like the last thing you want to do.

Press play. Get comfortable. Move gently.
