There’s a story of La Loba, the woman who lives out in the desert and collects the bones of wolves, when she has enough she sings over them, bringing them back to life and they run back out into the world.
Life can feel very like this at times, when we have moments where our world crumbles, falls apart around us and we have to search through the rubble, pick up the pieces and from tears and grief, rebuild ourselves, our lives into something new.
I was invited on to Jennie Bloomfield’s podcast Her Story Her Stars to share the story of my life. What a huge invitation. I spent several days thinking through what I wanted to share, why I wanted to share and how I wanted to share.
I shared about my early life of not feeling like I fitted in, didn’t really belong here, depression. I shared about motherhood, the grief of carrying, birthing and short time with my middle child, born with Trisomy 18 and how story has helped me make sense of all the events that have asked so much of me..
Here it is for you to listen to and do follow Jennie on substack, her Moon Notes are beautifully written and explained.
Jennie, works so beautifully combining astrology and human design with mythology and I love reading and listening to her words of wisdom. Women Who Run with the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkole Estes has long been a place of comfort for me Stories from there helped me make sense of my life, made me feel like I belonged in the world. So Jennie’s linking of mythology and astrology spoke to me very deeply.
Jennie allowed me space to talk and share and in this was a place to heal some more, sharing chapters of my life freely helped make a bit more sense, was a time to release a bit more. I treasured this time as a guest on Jennie’s podcast
